On July 17, 2010, the Lakeside Club will host the Annual Tour of Homes. Visitors will be invited to view some of Historic Manistee's most beautiful homes and gardens. Since 1957 the tour has raised money that is given to other non-profits in the area that need a little help. This year money earned will be divided between Choices, Homeward Bound, the Library and Museum. In addition to the home tour, ticket holders will be able to view other participating Historic sites without charge from 10AM - 1PM. These site include The Congregational Church with the Tiffany windows, The Danish Lutheren Church/Museum, The Historic Ramsdell Theatre, Hardy Hall with the current art exhibit and have free entry to the Manistee County History Museum throughout the day. Area merchants are offering special deals to ticket holders as a way of supporting the tour. Tickets for the Tour are $10 and can be purchased in advance at: Alex Doucette's, Goody's Juice and Java, Hokanson Camera, Manistee Convention and Visitors Bureau, Moving Spirit, The Ramsdell Inn and T.J.'s Pub. All located in Manistee. As more locations are added we will post them. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the tour at the above locations and at the homes.
